What in the name of stereotypical bad millennial pandering is this reveal? I want to escape as far away from this reality as possible, but I watched the reveal already. So I’ll show you all instead.
Behold the 2020 Focus Active-X or Mazda CX-5 Escape.
Here’s that stupid reveal btw:

Someone got paid a lot of money to create and produce that - what a world.
Still not a Chevy commercial anyway.

Front looks likes a Tesla. This is the world we live in.

Wow that video was painful.
Idk about that new front end either..

Holy shit, are we sure this isn’t a parody?
![]() 04/02/2019 at 11:33 |

That was really, really bad.
Though, somehow, someone managed to get a subliminal ad in for Honda!

That was cringey.
I did watch this overview. Seems decent for features and engine options. No price or MPG info out yet. It’s just another crossover among the sea of other ones
Also, the Euro Kuga version has different styling

I had just gotten used to the Kuga version. Now they’re giving us a warmed-over Mitsubishi.

I’m getting MK8 Fiesta vibes from the front and particularly from the interior.

I feel like the ford badge belongs in the grill, not above it

Spot on, I wa
s trying to figure out why it looked so familiar.

If it was only yellow:

2010 called. They want their Mazda3 back.

Looks kinda like the dope

Ew.

side profile and rear pillar with black trim looks like my 2014 CX5.

This vehicle is designed for US!!
![]() 04/02/2019 at 12:10 |

The rear 3/4 view has a weird Tesla droopy thing going on too.

When will manufacturers be done with these damn cut lines?
![]() 04/02/2019 at 12:26 |

I didn’t see the reveal, but I really like the look of it.

Anybody want a metric shit ton of blue outdoor carpeting? I think I know a guy....
![]() 04/02/2019 at 13:16 |

My wife sent me a link to an article about it. If she wants it, I’ll laugh inside because it’s just a lifted wagon version of a Focus.

They may never be done with them due to regulations.

Is that Kuga not the ST-Line version. Like they did with the Fiesta and Focus.
Base to mid-spec (Style, Titanium, Zetec, etc...),
Higher spec with sportier looks (ST-Line, ST-Line X),
Top spec, luxury spec (Vignale),
And the Active and Active X,
![]() 04/02/2019 at 14:03 |

That’s so bland it’s offensive
![]() 04/02/2019 at 14:10 |

Hmm the ST line should have been the regular Escape here.
![]() 04/02/2019 at 14:22 |

I don’t know why one car needs four faces.
Fiesta range.
I don’t like the front bumper on the base model and does the Vignale need to have it’s own front end!?

Au contraire. F30 had the issue which was fixed in the G20.
![]() 04/02/2019 at 15:19 |

Why do they bother with pompous reveal ceremonies ? I’m sure the press was cringing, and I doubt much of the target audience was ecstatically watching that parade of umbrellas, whilst bowling over in excitement over the new Escape . T hey could’ve saved alot of money with just the press release, it’s gonna sell bucketloads anyways.

It’s still there, you just don’t realize it’s there because it meets up with the larger grille.
![]() 04/02/2019 at 21:56 |

Wow, so that’s where the Chevy Volt Dance choreographers wound up after leaving GM.

It’s a relatively cheap way to differentiate between trims. They need multiple sets of tooling to make enough bumpers anyway, might as well make a couple variations on the theme to differentiate between trim levels.
